6. Data Security, Backup, and Reliability

PolicyDoctor uses commercially reasonable security practices, including access controls, secure transmission, permission-controlled access, security and audit records, recurring backups, and recovery measures.

PolicyDoctor maintains recurring backups and recovery measures designed to preserve customer information and support restoration after an unexpected system issue.

These measures provide greater durability and recoverability than relying solely on a single paper folder, filing cabinet, device, or informal conversation.

No technical system can eliminate every risk of loss, corruption, unauthorized access, delay, or temporary unavailability.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security and audit records, process billing, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and complete applicable backup and deletion lifecycles.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your information
  • Update or correct your information
  • Request account closure and deletion of eligible associated data

Certain information may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, billing, legal compliance, dispute resolution, recordkeeping, or backup lifecycle requirements.
